SSLSD Annual Sports Meet 2022/23

 After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the eagerly awaited Annual Sports Meet of Stafford Sri Lankan School – Doha took place successfully on October 21, 2022. In a friendly competition, the three houses competed vigorously against each other. Topaz emerged as the victor, with Garnett closely following as the runner-up, and Emerald, traditionally the house with the highest number of championships in previous years, secured the third position.

The students exhibited determination, courage, and unity as a cohesive school community, turning the sports meet into a truly special occasion. It was delightful to witness a significant turnout of parents and former pupils present to enjoy the event.

While the 21st marked the culmination of the sports meet, various team events and track and field activities were conducted in the weeks leading up to the final date. Reflecting the school's commitment to a comprehensive education that values sports as an integral part of the curriculum, the meet provided a substantial number of students with the opportunity to participate in diverse sports and events. It was gratifying to observe students embracing and refining their leadership skills, teamwork, and the ability to navigate and process a spectrum of emotions akin to a rollercoaster ride.
