Let’s Empower The Female Student!
Let’s Empower The Female Student!
“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” That was said by the famous writer Maya Angelou. We must have the same power as men. Why? Because us women, feel used by these godly figures, being stereotyped as prisoners chained to the kitchen, sewing clothes and acting as if we are graceful swans. We have to be strong. Gender equality is a rightness, fair and beautiful aspect to both men and women. What’s the word for it- Feminism. Why do women deserve that empowerment? The students are future generations of our lives. Even in prom, the king’s crown is bigger than ours! How can gender equality be normalized when an adult’s risks enter a young kid’s life?
The first feminist waves were in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this flood extended to the present. Feminist’s theory emerged from these feminist movements. There have been many known feminists since the olden centuries. Malala Yousafzai got shot just because she was fighting for young girls' education. Oprah Winfrey, the famous talk show host, was known to be a second feminist wave because she encountered an experience that many girls have gone through. Emma Watson is the ambassador of United Nations Women Goodwill and she discovered the fact that she was a feminist in her teens due to the change of her friend’s thoughts while they were growing up. Carol Ann Duffy wrote a bunch of famous poetry and she was a woman, she also served the queen Elizabeth II. Jane Goodall was an explorer, animals love her like they would love their mothers. And Agnes De Silva pioneered women’s suffrage issues in Sri Lanka, even her daughters are following her because she taught them that they shouldn’t settle for less. Many of these women are writers, actresses and most importantly are feminists, and they are the inspiring representatives of the entire women gender.
Now here is the biggest question...WHY DO WOMEN DESERVE IT?! Because they are smart, attractive and brave people. The men were wrong about women when they said that we are meant to be seen but not heard, but like the female detective from Agatha Christie’s novels, Jane Marple, we can see through their acts. We want to be equal. Long ago, many women got murdered, kidnapped and abused by a lot of men. Many of these victims dragged into these crimes of the world are women! Because of these, many of us ladies can’t leave our homes. The women are frightened by these traumatic experiences...but not anymore! Psycraitists say that 75% chance of the above crimes would happen to young girls instead of young boys. There are many foundations relating to these. WE have to speak for these women, girls and many more.
In the past, many girls never went to school. But this is still happening in the world like in Pakistan, India and many more. But in school, problems arise. Girls are scared of not being accepted in school just because they are girls. And teachers think that many girls are used to playing dolls, sewing and being polite and neat, while boys are handsome and strong, rough and active people. But as I am a girl, I can assure that you are certainly mistaken. School is meant for equality not inequality. School is a place which is full of learning and achievement and equity, not the opposite. Many boys taunt us mostly because we are more responsible and mature. As a person who was victimized before by these unjust childish cruelty...I tried informing the teacher many times but the teachers didn’t do anything to correct this… so I had to stand up for myself. Men and men.jr controls the society’s mind. This ends up ruining these girl’s lives! Many victims of this were kids who went to school! How did men tend to be so dominant? If the men and boys do anything to break a young girl’s mind, what will happen to our future?
Many of YOU knew about these problems, but you
just stood there, shielding yourselves behind the fear as these men became
stronger. Why do men have to be so mean to us? The men told US what to do.
Every. Single. Day. The women have to fight fire with fire! Then we’ll be
equal! Why do we, school kids, deserve this power of empowerment? Because WE
are the next generation! WE are important! WE are YOUR fates! YOUR fate rests
on us! As the leaders of female empowerment say, “Between the sticky floor and
the glass ceiling”. We are strong as Amazons. After all, men should queen up
their act.
